Early Intervention - Preschool

Cora Barclay Centre provides Auditory-Verbal Early Intervention to families with children ranging from newborn until they begin Year 1 of shool. 

Our services are available to children with all types of hearing loss who have hearing aid(s) and/or cochlear implant(s).

Families receive individual Auditory-Verbal parent guidance sessions on a weekly basis. 

In addition there is a weekly Parent Infant Program (PIP) and weekly music therapy sessions, which families may attend.

The Early Intervention program comprises a number of different areas: 

• Individual A-V therapy sessions
Parent Infant Program (PIP) (small charge applies)
• Pre-School Support Services
Transition Planning and Support
• Parent Information Sessions
• Audiology and Family Counsellor
Music Therapy (small charge applies)

When children reach school age they can be transferred, after transition planning, to our School Support service.
