Music Therapy
Music therapy is an essential part of the Early Intervention program at the Cora Barclay Centre. Music facilitates the development of pitch, intonation and rhythm in the speech of children with hearing loss.
Singing and music is an integral part of individual therapy sessions for each child and are essential elements of our auditory-verbal program. Nursery rhymes and simple rhyming songs about everyday activities promote prosody (speech melody), language and listening skills in a fun and social way.
Weekly group music sessions are held on Monday and Wednesday mornings from 10.30 to 11.30am. To book please call Reception on 8267 9200.
