Family Support
The Cora Barclay Centre provides family centred services for children who are
deaf/hearing impaired.
The Centre is located in a large villa and is a welcoming home like environment with extensive on site services.
Services provided by a multi-disciplinary team include auditory-verbal therapy, speech pathology, audiology, and counsellor
and for school students a visiting service from qualified Teachers of the Deaf, access to the multi-disciplinary team and a social networking and mentoring program: WHISPA.
The Centre has an outdoor play area, early intervention facility with kitchen.
All new families receive a 'starter pack', which includes therapy toys, resources and information.
A library of children's books is available for early intervention families.
